For me, the single most interesting aspect
of doing mathematical fractal art is to create and explore new
complex algebraic expressions which generate imagery never before seen by human eyes. I cannot tell you how many
nights I spent calculating and devising and generating new expressions and imagery...so much sleep was lost (however
voluntarily) since I started in 1988...
Nearly all of the people doing fractal art
now, and there are thousands, use canned software which employ someone else's
algorithms...and that is fine, for a far fewer number of people have the appreciation for art as well as the technical know-how
to do their own math...
The explorer in me pushes me onward...listed
here are the 700+ fractal expressions, functions of a complex number z and a
complex constant c, that were used in all of my work prior to 2004, plus all of the newer equations I devised these past few years.
Because writing some of these expressions in html (at least the version I use) is rather cumbersome, I have not written functions
for recent fractals until now. Starting at equation 1001, which signifies the year's images from 2013, I have tried to show just
how complex the mathematics is...the depth to which my exploration has taken me. You, my friends, are witness to images
but few human beings have ever seen...
